Formroom x JOSEPH
Man vs. Nature: an exploration of a modern, industrial world and our contrasting relationship with nature.

Ongoing Partnership: Knowing Our Client
Benefitting from a long-term collaboration is a useful advantage when rolling out windows. We get to know our brands and their DNA. At the heart of every JOSEPH piece is a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship. The brand’s dedication to quality is evident in the carefully selected fabrics, the precision of tailoring, and the thoughtful detailing that defines every collection. Our most recent design haloes this meticulous construction while injecting the art-led connection to natural materials that also defines the JOSEPH brand. Our striking industrial barley field communicates a juxtaposition between raw, industrial materials and softer, natural elements. Much like the minimalist elegance of JOSEPH’s new collection, our window concept balances nature and craftsmanship.
Concept Ideation, Technical Design & Production
As always Formroom worked alongside JOSEPH to develop the overarching narrative for their SS25 window. We discussed the relationship between machine and nature and how beautiful this contrast can be. When selecting and prototyping materials, Formroom’s aim was to evoke this feeling of disparity between cold, construction materials and delicate, whimsical organic materials.
The scaffolding framework forms the structural backbone, evoking a sense of strength and solid construction.
A lemon powder-coated tray adds a contemporary touch, standing in contrast to the more muted tones of the surrounding elements. Inside, a field of barley offers a soft, organic texture that grounds the design in nature, while a layer of gravel adds an earthy, tactile element. Together, these elements create a harmonious dialogue between the man-made and the natural world.
