We built on Charlotte Tilbury’s trademark art deco, rock ‘n’ roll-inspired boudoir aesthetic to create a permanent retail space in London’s Selfridges.
Charlotte Tilbury places a huge emphasis on their customer-centric service, which is fundamental to the in-store experiences they endeavour to provide. Much of this evolves around the brand offering personalised beauty consultations and product collections focused around being ‘easy to choose, use and gift’. This was a crucial consideration when planning our work with Charlotte Tilbury.
The design centres around the Cosmic Universe of Charlotte Tilbury and the glitz of the festive season. The Christmas pop-up depicts a glowing ‘Cosmic Gift Shop’ with ‘treats, trinkets and treasures’, crafting the ultimate brand experience for seasonal shoppers.
Our design concept utilised the brand’s signature rose gold and Christmas-themed Night Crimson colourways to full effect. Manufacture was additionally executed with all fire-rated elements and then sprayed with the Charlotte Tilbury shades, and storage facilities were vinyl wrapped using the CT Night Crimson with bespoke Christmas patterns rolled out in all stores.
We also integrated a contrasting mauve with a mystic sparkle to create an enchanting setting for customers to enter, establishing an immersive, unique customer experience from start to finish, even before products have been introduced or purchased.
Another dazzling feature was an archway that incorporated 84 bulbs, was LED edge-lit, included an etched acrylic panel with the CT artwork on, and also included Christmas tension graphics that sat above storage cupboards. The archway utilised a playful ode to the old Hollywood glamour that the Charlotte Tilbury brand exhibits.
The floor-standing star unit was also in their signature rose gold with a lit opal acrylic topper and bespoke glorifiers to hold the Hollywood Lipstick product.

Our designs allowed the globally renowned make-up brand Charlotte Tilbury to continue to disrupt and influence the beauty industry. Continuing our partnership, Formroom were invited to produce a Christmas pop-up for three locations in Selfridges Oxford Street, Selfridges Birmingham and Selfridges Manchester.
